“Memory…is the diary that we all carry around with us.” ~Oscar Wilde
  • The average person can hold roughly seven items in short term memory for about 20 to 30 seconds.
  • New brain connections are created every time you form a memory.
  • An adult can remember 20,000-100,000 words.
  • The mind must be exercised just like your muscles. The harder you think about a memory, the more likely you are to remember it accurately. Thinking creates a stronger link between active neurons.
  • DĂ©jĂ  vu occurs when your brain tries to apply a memory of a past situation to your current one, fails, and makes you feel like it happened.
